Emily K. Vu came to the United States in 1993 after fleeing Vietnam with her mother and spending three years in a refugee camp. When her family was reunited in America she continued her interrupted high school education and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Business Studies from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Monmouth University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and is also Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF).
Emily began her accounting career in the casino industry and later worked for the Atlantic County Utilities Authority and The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in positions of increasing executive responsibility before establishing her CPA firm. In her role as President of TTK & Associates, Emily focuses much of her energy on the areas of business planning, wealth creation and tax consulting. Her company is the only Vietnamese CPA firm in the region providing a full range of accounting and financial services to a diverse client base. It is particularly noteworthy that her accounting practice, with a core clientele of small and emerging businesses, realized a 600% increase in its client base after one year of full-time operation.
In addition to her accomplishments in the business sphere, Ms. Vu was an adjunct Accounting Instructor at The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. She is active in several professional organizations including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the NJ Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce. She formerly served on the boards of the Atlantic Cape Chapter of the NJSCPA, Atlantic Health Initiatives, Inc. and the American Red Cross, Southern Shore Chapter.
